So I was getting my usual thursday sandwich today at this great corner deli I love and they have copies of the local Mountain View newspaper on several of the tables. While waiting for my lunch I was perusing the paper and on page 3 of the paper they had a topless woman!!! wha? HAH. Just kidding (wish I wasn’t).

Truthfully, they had an area where a question was posed to several people and their response and picture were posted. The question in today’s paper? I don’t remember it word for word but let’s just say it went like this…

“Were you suprised by the way that Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Guy, died?”

4 of the 5 people were nice saying how sad it was. They weren’t surprised since it can be a dangerous job. Then there’s the 5th person I would like to name “Waste of Greymatter”. WOG had this to say… (again, not word for word but the sentiment is right)

“I’m not surprised so much as amused. I mean who get’s killed by a harmless creature like that”

AMUSED!!!???!?!! WTF!!!! Stop that person from procreating. PLEASE!!

AND the environment! It’s holding an employee meeting today at Shoreline Amphitheatre. Now, I enjoy a good all-hands employee meeting. I’ve been to a few myself, back in the heyday of the dotcom boom. We even had one at Great America. That was fun. There was this “Mission Impossible” theme (which isn’t as bad as that sounds) and a comedian, oh oh oh, and GUY KAWASAKI as a speaker. THAT kicked ass!!!! But I digress.

This is Jasper. He’s Cathy‘s cat… ummm. our cat? [shrug] Well, anyway. This is where he was when I went to sleep last night. I couldn’t find him at first and I was looking everywhere. Didn’t think he’d plant himself amongst the shoes at the front door. Can’t he SMELL? heh.

Well, he’s 14 and that means he’s 72 in human years. And at 72 you’re pretty much allowed to do whatever you want. Sleep amongst the shoes… Sit around looking silly… Look grumpy (often associated with septegenarians).

First off. There’s no such thing. Mornings are meant to be ignored and slept through. Count me in as one of the dreary people in this freaky Folgers commercial. That being said… I LOVE THIS COMMERCIAL. It fits right into my freaky mentality. Of course, I want to film the counter-argument now with those dreary people pulling out lightsabers and cutting down each and every one of those crazy oompa-loompa cousins.
