WOOT!!! Famous Kitteh

So there’s this website called Consumerist.com. If you don’t know about it, you owe it to yourself to go read it and learn about how to be a smarter consumer and find out about evil evil companies… So like I was saying, there’s this website called Consumerist.com and they have started to use flickr images for pictures above each of their posts. Guess who’s been chosen for one of those pictures…

YAY! A picture I took of our little Daphers (along with her cousin Maggie) was recently honored in one of the oldest “Top Views” groups on flickr and she got a blog post over here too. It’s one of my favorite pictures of all time, that I took. Here’s a small version but click it for the flickr page and gaze upon the accolades. The DMV on my birthday

Yup. Today’s my birthday. 35. No biggee. But I have started my day at the DMV to renew my driver’s license. Ah well. Hope I don’t have to take a test.

So I’m buying gas today and I hear someone talking nearby. There wasn’t a car next to me so it couldn’t have been someone on their phone. What was it? Shell has installed small LCD tvs in their stands now. WTF?

I thought the grocery store checkout lanes was bad enough. It’s starting to get ridiculous now. What’s next? Above the stripper poles? At the crosswalks? Jeez.

The A’s sweep the Twins!!!

Last Friday Cath and I were at the third and deciding game (as it turned out) of the ALDS series between the Oakland A’s and the Minnesota Twins. I’m proud to say that I had a hand in their win. I found a penny on the ground, heads up of course, and made a wish that they’d win that day. Whaddayaknow! Wishes do come true.
