Sweet Jesus, I LOVE HDTV
Finally caved and got a new cable box. DVR and finally HDTV!!!!! With the Super Bowl coming up, and a girlfriend, and soon a new dining room table, I am gonna host a Super Bowl party. I just COULDN’T do that with just any old regular digital cable. Not when you have a 65″ Widescreen HDTV Monitor (that’s an HDTV tv without an HDTV tuner built in).
NOW I’m ready. 65″, check. Widescreen, check. Surround sound, check. HDTV!!!!! Check.

We’re back from Wisconsin!
I can’t believe how many dogs we’ve seen on just the first half of our tour of airport between Home and “home”. 🙂 they’re everywhere. Walking on leashes. In sherpa bags. Working dogs. It’s like they’re TAUNTING ME! 🙁 heh
Cath introduced me to Ruth’s Chris tonight. All I can say is “DAMN that’s a good steak!!” I had the buffalo ribeye special tonight with a delicious creole mustard sauce on top and sauteed mushrooms. Cathy had the petite filet and aparagus (see picture. not her ACTUAL steak <heh>). We each downed a glass and a half of some pricey but DAMN GOOD wine. Finished it off with the BEST creme brulee I have EVER had!!!!!!
The buffalo was good (shoulda gone with the medium-rare, like the chef suggests) and the mustard sauce was AWESOME but Cathy’s filet was the ABSOLUTE BEST piece of steak I have ever eaten. Even if I did have just a tiny bite it was enough to know that next time I’m getting THAT!!
You MUST go there. Clean out the college fund if you have to, but GO!! You won’t be sorry.
I’m a DOUBLE Uncle today!!! Caden Michael is now amongst those of us who can see the Sun. (Yeah, I’m REALLY mushy. <grin>) Here are a few pictures…

- 10lbs 3oz – and he was a week early! my sister knows how to cook ’em. Noah was big too. Not THIS big though.
